If anyone is likely to have some sort of RSS or whatever the latest subscription/reader/feed application is on this site, its you. So hi.
My MHP (mental health professional, for those not in the know) suggested I should share more information with the people around me. I have been assured this will be therapeutic for me and appreciated by the people around me. I remain unconvinced on either point, fortunately the chances of anyone actually reading this are negligible so off we go.
Very little has changed since the last post, made over a year ago. Read that one and make of the situation what you will.
I check your blog every day, hoping to see some news. I’m glad to see you posting again. I think your doubts about people wanting to know more about your situation are completely unfounded. Worse, I think they are self-fulfilling. If you don’t post for a year, and people give up on seeing anything new via this medium, can you really, reasonably assume that it’s because we’re not interested?
It’s like the whole trying-to-get-you-and-Shannon-to-come-over-for-lunch-on-Sundays thing: after reaching out ten or so times with no takes on the invite, we get discouraged. Then you tell yourself that no one is really interested in having you around, because pick your reason(s). :^(
Let me go out on a limb and tell you what we’d all like to read from you (in no way a complete list):
-what (both of) your physical health is like
-what your current outlook is, both regarding your therapy and on life in general, good or bad
-what kinds of treatments you and your therapist are exploring (not gory details, just generally)
-any news about your and Shannon’s personal life experiences, also good or bad (found a new restaurant? new band? a particularly good or bad movie? new recipe? reactions to current events? Bueller?)
-etc
-unsoweiter
-yadda yadda yadda
We’re all h i g h l y interested. If you don’t want to post it here, send out a group email or MMS. But FFS, let us know what you are up to and how you are doing, any way you can. If you write it, we will come.
I am also Andrew. Glad to see you updating the blog. I don’t get to hang with you as often as I would like and this helps to hear about how things are going. I also don’t know what Feculent Cereal is. I may have missed the ads during Saturday morning cartoons.
And Andrew isn’t the only one who looks on a regular basis. I like to be able to check in but doubt that most of the time you’re available to chat when I’m reading here (a.k.a. ass o’clock in the morning before I go to work).
What they said — I’ll start checking it again also.
